Akira smiled and pointed at Mahiru who was surrounded by deer and was getting quite annoyed. The girl ignored him and looked down, her face shown sadness and pain."Does.... something hurt? Why don't we go sit over there?" Akira pointed over to the small bench. The girl looked up at him shocked."Oh, I know! Are you hungry?" Akira asked as he rummaged through a small brown paper bag. The thin lollipop stick was sticking out of the corner of his mouth. ' I can't just leave you alone.' Akira thought to himself as he waited for her answer."Umm, I...I'm fine, thank you." the girl stuttered. Akira noticed Mahiru walking over towards them and laughed and jumped up and down happily."Lookit Mahiru candy!!!!" Akira cried out grinning. The girl saw her chance and she began to make a run for it. Akira noticed and speedily ran in front of her causing her to come into a halt."What was that just now?!" the girl asked and Akira just grinned. He began to rummage through one of the paper bags again and found what he was looking for."Ta-da! I'm not sure what happened but... I want you to eat this and feel better, okay?!" Akira smiled and placed the lollipop into her hand and closed her fingers around it. Akira smiled again and turned around.

Unbeknownst to the girl Akira was watching her, a sad look appeared on his face. That was unusual for the usually hyper werewolf. He watched the depressed girl look at the artificially sweet treat in her hands."Himura what is wrong" Akira asked softly and gasped as a black car pull up and a Hokuto from the Dawn's Venus got out of it. He pulled Keiko into the car and drove off. He jumped over to the spot where Keiko just stood and saw the broken lollipop laying on the wet ground. A grim look then appeared over his face. 'Mitsuru was right... she is one of them.... But that doesn't mean she wants to be with them, I mean she did struggle against Hokuto!' Akira argued with himself. 'Wait why am I even arguing with myself about her, it's not like I like Himura... does it?' Akira questioned his motives.

A few days has passed and Keiko still hasn't forgiven Hokuto for what he had done. Wait why should she care any way it was just a stupid lollipop? But she knew better. 'Why do I care I mean I don't even know him..... And I'm supposed to marry Hokuto.... So I can't have feelings for him... can I?" Keiko asked herself. Keiko pondered this for a few more minutes before she dropped the subject and got Hokuto his tea ready.
Akira was sitting on the roof to the Moon Shine, and thought over his feelings for Keiko. His doggy ears flattened against his head, he was definitely confused, I mean who wouldn't be? He has a crush on his enemy...sort of like Romeo and Juliet. Two families sworn to hate each other, but their heirs fall in love. And sacrifice themselves to stop their families quarrels. Only a little different, two races hated each other instead.

Akira finally came to the conclusion he was indeed in love with Keiko. Strange on how Fate is cruel and yet kind as well. 'But does she feel the same?' Akira asked himself. He pouted and in a depressed way he sulked his way towards Mahiru's room for advice. He knocked on Mahiru's door and waited for her to answer. Mahiru opened her bedroom door to see a troubled Akira."Akira what is it?" Mahiru asked."Mahiru.. I need advice... for a friend of mine!" Akira whispered."Okay.. come on in." Mahiru invited Akira in and sat down on her bed after she closed the door behind the werewolf. Mahiru patted the spot next to her and Akira sauntered over there."What's this advice that you need for your friend Akira?" the blonde asked knowing very well it was for him."Well, you see my friend is in love with this girl, but he doesn't know if she loves him back, I mean he doesn't even know anything about her except her name." Akira stated. Mahiru nodded for him to go on.
"And to make matters worse, they are of a different race.. and my friend he is somewhat obsessed with her. Like he can't get her off his mind, it's like she's on his mind twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Its non stop, what should I tell him?" Akira asked."Well, Akira, your friend has quite a problem there. But how would he ever know if she doesn't feel the same unless he asks. And race doesn't matter when it comes to love. If you love her it shouldn't matter what other people think as long as the two people care for each other." Mahiru smiled and her grin got wider when Akira's depressed mood was soon turned into it's usual happy one. Akira hugged Mahiru and screamed 'thank you' at the top of his lungs as he bounced around her room and dashed out of her bedroom door. Mahiru just laughed and Nozomu walked over and leaned into her doorway."What's got Akira so happy about?" the Vampire asked."Oh nothing, I just gave him some love advice that's all." Mahiru laughed.

Akira raced down the streets hoping he would find Keiko. And as his luck held strong there she was sitting in the park. He skidded into a halt in from of her causing her to gasp in surprise."Himura...*gasp* I need to ask you.....*coughs* something....*huff*" Akira choked out, as he swallowed in air to calm his deprived lungs."What is it Akira? And please call me Keiko.." Keiko whispered still in shock."What are your feeling towards me?" Akira finally asked as he got over his fear of asking her. He winced as the silence continued and he gulped down his own saliva trying to wet his dry mouth.

She then tried to swallow the lump in her throat, when she tried to speak."Akira! Wait!" Keiko began to run after the now running man.

"Akira!" Keiko cried and she tripped over her own two feet. She screamed and closed her eyes awaiting the impact of the hard ground to meet her face. It never came. She felt two strong arms wrap around her waist and pull her up. She opened her brown eyes and stared into the deep hazel of Akira's. She felt her heart beating a thousand miles a second and her breathing had quickened as she continued to stare into the worried eyes."A-A-Akira?" Keiko stuttered."Are you all right?" Akira asked as he set her up right and removed his arms from around her waist. Keiko nodded and tried to catch her breath."Akira, I don't know my feelings about you just quite yet, but when I do know I will tell you, but if it will comfort you at the least then what I can tell you is that I care for you.." Keiko said softly and she averted her gaze. So she wouldn't crumble under his sorrow filled look.

Hope returned into his eyes as he smiled slightly and kissed Keiko's cheek."I understand, I'll give you time to think things through. but as soon as you know you'll let me know right?" Akira asked. Keiko nodded and a small smile found its way to her lips. Akira grinned and ran off waving by to the one he loved and Keiko waved back hesitantly and wished he was near her again with his comfortable warmth."Bye Akira...maybe we will have a chance, just maybe.." Keiko whispered and turned around and began to walk towards her home.

Akira looked up at the moon and smiled a big grin. He knew just maybe, that he would have his chance at love, just like the Princess and the Demon Boy. And that just made his grin wider.
Keiko looked up at the night sky and smiled a real smile and sighed softly."I love you Akira." Keiko whispered into the light breeze and closed her eyes and closed her window.
