"No...No, I won't believe you! You love me, I know it! Why would you say such things?!" the woman asked her voice cracking from the sobs that were about to over take her body."Becasue Nike, I despise creatures such as you who reek of havoc!" Atorious threw Nike into the arms of Patroklos and he then handed her into the arms of two of the villagers. They dragged her towards a cave not too far away from their village. Patroklos and Atorious following the men and the screaming Nike. The two strong men walked into the dark cave and Atorious waited outside with his father."Atorious! Atorious!!!!!!" the frequent screams of the poor girl vanished into the darkness. Atorious fell to the soft earth and sobs racked his body. The two villagers walked out of the cave and bowed towards Patroklos. Patroklos turned towards his son and laid a hand on his shoulder."It had to be done my son. You have no idea what dangers would have taken place if she stayed alive. Death, pain, and destruction. It is apart of her nature...." Patroklos whispered softly."Damn you father...... DAMN YOU!" Atorious yelled tears streaming down his face. And so he got up and stormed off.
"My lady..... I-I-I have your clothing.." a young servant girl stuttered and held out the beautiful garments towards the ice maiden. Nike snatched them from the frightened girls arms and began to dress herself."Thank you." Nike growled with hatred. The servant squeaked in fright and ran out of the room."Pitiful mortals, they do not deserve to live." the vengence filled woman whispered under her breath."Soon Atorious's decendants will pay for his crime in deceiving me!" Nike smirked and laughed softly."He will pay by the life of his families blood."
"Mother! Are you alright?!" Lucius asked as he helped his mother into her bed."Of course my son, why would you think any less?" the older woman smiled then coughed."Since father died you have gotten sick, and you have become worse everyday!" Lucius cried. Lucius held back his tears, he lost his father three years ago on his nineteenth birthday. And now he was going to lose his mother, he could feel it."Dear child, there comes a day when we all must die and my day is coming. Do not worry, my dear son I will always be with you when I leave this world." she whispered."Now let me rest...." she finished and closed her eyes. Lucius got up and walked out side his tears brimmed his eyes. His dark brown hair fell over his amethyst eyes. A few days later, Pyrrha, Lucius's mother died from a fatal sickness. Lucius sat under a large willow tree and watched the clouds move across the blue sky. The tales of the great Atorious, his ancestor, that his mother told him when it was bed time to get him to sleep when he was younger rang in his mind. And the song his mother sang to him as well.
A group of little boys and girls ran over to Lucius."Lucius! Lucius! please tell us a story!" they chanted. He laughed softly."All right! All right! Calm down little ones." Lucius shouted and they did, amazing on what a story could do to kids." Let's see what story should I tell you today?" Lucius asked."I know! I know! Tell us about the love affair about the Ice Demon and the Village Leader's son!" a twelve year old cried out and that was followed by other 'yes's' and 'no's' ." All right then!" Lucius began t otell the tale, which we already know from up above."And it is said that whoever goes into the cave and awakes the sleeping demon will face the most horrible death ever..." Lucius finished getting 'Hurray's' from the children. The children waved their goodbyes and he was once again in a quiet solitude."Will I ever find love myself?" Lucius asked and soon he drew weary and then fell into a short slumber........
