~*~ 10 years before ~*~
Five year old Kikyo and Kagome and their siblings, at the time Hiten was eight and Kiyoshi was seven and Rin was six, were in the field that was apart of the Higurashi Shrine, in Kyoto. They were playing Hide-N-Go-Seek, and Kikyo was the seeker. She didn't like that, cause she couldn't find her sisters and her brothers. She looked everywhere so when she went back to the huge tree, that happened to be base, there they were grinning and laughing. But did Kikyo like that? Of course not! She hated it, anger flashed into her sick brown eyes and she screamed and attack her younger sister Kagome. Hiten and Kiyoshi and pulled Kikyo away from Kagome and Rin was already down by Kagome's side checking to see if she was all right. Kikyo of course fought back and punched her older brothers and then hit Rin. Kagome did not like that so she tackled the raged Kikyo and began punching her.
Kikyo cried and said that they cheated when Mrs. Higurashi came out to investigate what was going on. And Hiten told what really happened, and that they didn't cheat, but Kikyo threw a hissy fit and hit Kagome and then them. Kikyo was grounded for two months for that, and so after that they were enemies forever.
~*~ Now ~*~
Kagome was sitting on Hiten's bed with My Chemical Romance: Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge blaring on their CD player. Hiten was also on his bed watching Kagome draw her own comic. The walls of their room was pitch black to match with their attitudes. Their sheets were black and they wore mostly black as well. Right now Hiten was wearing a black shirt with a black netted shirt under it. On the shirt it said "It's funny until someone gets hurt.....Then it's hilarious!" and a pair of baggy black pants, and his hair was out of it's usual braid. Kagome was wearing a black and red bodice with a long-sleeved black, female, renaissance type shirt. And a pair of baggy black jeans with a lot of chains on it. They were both singing along with the song that was on. That song was Track seven, "The Jetset Life is gonna Kill You"."Gaze into her killing jar, I'd sometimes stare for hours. She even poked holes so I can breathe, she bought the last line, I'm just the worst kind of guy to argue, with what you might find. And for the last night I lie, could I lie with you? Alright, give up, get down. It's just the hardest part of living. Alright, she wants it all to come down this time." Hiten sang softly. Kagome continued to draw when her brother stupidly asked her a question.
"Okay, tell me again, what's this manga about?" Hiten asked. Kagome sighed and looked up quite annoyed."It's sorta like the manga Fushigi Yuugi!" Kagome answered her brother for the twentieth time that night."Ohhhhhhhh, okay I get it now." Hiten laughed. The cd player began to change CDs as it finished the My Chemical Romance one. And so now it was Papa Roach: Getting Away With Murder. That was when The Bitch walked in."Come on down for dinner you losers. Or couldn't you here mom calling you because your fucking music is up to loud?" Kikyo teased. Hiten glared and Kagome seethed in anger."Get out of our room Kikyo! We'll come down when we're ready!" Hiten yelled at his younger sister."Fine don't blame me when you get your asses chewed out!" Kikyo smirked and closed the cherry wood door. "I Hate her.." Kagome growled."Me too." Hiten agreed.
"And we are related to that bitch how? God is cruel." Kagome glared at the door."Yeah, damn whore, now we have to sanitize the fucking door since she touched it!" Hiten complained."Come on let's go get something to eat before mom freaks." Kagome stated and got up off her older brother's bed."Yeah, she might go wacko on us and ground us from the mall." Hiten got up quickly and followed his sister out the door. They ran down the steps with Kagome in the lead and they both skidded passed the doorway to the dining room and both crashed into the wall. They got up quickly and ran into the room and sat down in their usual seats."Nice of you to join us you two." Mrs. Higurashi glared at her son and daughter. Kikyo just smirked and Kiyoshi and Rin slapped their foreheads at their siblings predicament.
"So your gonna ground them right mom?!" Kikyo's grin got even wider. Kagome, Hiten, Kiyoshi, and Rin just glared at their sister."No, but I will ground you if you don't keep your mouth shut!" their mother snapped. Now it was Kagome's and Hiten's turn to grin."Just don't be late next time, okay?" Mrs. Higurashi asked."Yes mother!" Hiten and Kagome chorused. Half way through dinner Mrs. Higurashi laid down her chopsticks and wiped her mouth with her napkin."Children I have some new for you, we are moving to Tokyo." she stated. Next thing you know you hear coughing, and glass breaking and a 'YES!'. "What?!!!" Kiyoshi screamed."Mom are you nuts?!" Rin yelled."Have you gone freaking crazy?!" Hiten shrieked. Kagome just sat there eyes wide and jaw opened in shock. "No I haven't gone mad, your grandfather needs our help, so we are going to stay with him at his shrine." Mrs. Higurashi stated calmly."Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally I get to get out of this stupid shrine to a bigger city with lots of hot guys!" Kikyo shouted happily.
Kagome just sat there quietly."Kagome, dear, what's the matter?" Mrs. Higurashi asked her youngest child."I'm not going..." Kagome whispered."You have no choice Kagome." Mrs. Higurashi could tell this was going to be a huge argument a brewin'. "No! I'm not leaving home! And you can't make me!" Kagome shouted angrily standing up she ran into her room tears streaming down her cheeks. Everyone at the table was shocked, Kagome just screamed and no more comments, that was a first, cause she would usually argue, but not this time. "I'll go talk to her." Hiten finally spoke after from recovering from his shock."No, I will." his mother protested."No, you'll just cause more fucking damage than you've already done, I'll do it!" Hiten yelled at his mother and ran to the room their room. Mrs. Higurashi's jaw dropped for the second time that night, her son just cursed at her.
Hiten opened their door and walked inside closing and locking it. He looked around to see Kagome sobbing on her bed, her face buried into her pillow. Hiten sighed and laid down on his sister's bed and pulled her into his embrace and hugged her."Hey, it's okay, I'm sure mom has a very good reason for wanting to move in with grandpa, other than what she said. Besides it might be fun being in a new city and being able to piss new people off, I mean we already did that to everyone here." Hiten smiled and cause his sister to crack a small smile."Cheer up, Angel, everything will be alright I promise, cause I'll protect you no matter what, you know that." Hiten continued."I know, but I don't want to leave home....I mean dad is buried here...." Kagome sobbed."I know he is, but we can take a cab or the bus back out here to visit his grave every weekend." Hiten stated trying to calm down his depressed sister.
Kagome nodded and hiccupped and wiped away her tears."Do we really have to go, I mean Grandpa is soo weird. He talks about demons and he gives us demon hands or demon bones or something weird every year for our birthday!" Kagome gave a disgusted look. Hiten just laughed and hugged his sister again."Yeah, I know, but he's still a cool ol' geezer." Kagome nodded and laughed along with her brother."Come on let's start packing, from the tone mom had when she said we were moving, we will have to start packing soon cause by the end of the week she will want us to be gone." Kagome stated."Damn, your right, shit.... I don't wanna!!" Hiten complained."Stop being a lazy ass you idiot and start packing!"Kagome growled. Hiten 'eeped' and got to packing. It was nearly midnight when they finished packing half of their stuff, like books, movies, CDs, jewelry, ect. They left the clothes for later cause they still need them, that and their shoes, and their sheets.
And soon they were knocked out cold on their own respective beds in their pjs. They had four more days to pack before they had to leave so they were definitely gonna slack off and laugh their asses off when Kikyo waits until the last minute to pack all of her things. Just as they suspected it was the day before they were leaving when Kikyo decided to start packing. And just like they said they would Kagome and Hiten were laughing their asses off. Mrs. Higurashi was so frustrated with Kikyo that she nagged her the whole time she was packing."Kikyo why can't you be like your sisters and your brothers, I mean you always do this!" Mrs. Higurashi screamed at her daughter. Kikyo just ignored her and continued to pack her stuff. She heard that speech a million times that she could say it in her sleep.

The drive to Tokyo was long and boring, Kiyoshi and Rin were both reading a book, Hiten and Kagome were listening to their CD players while playing cards. And Kikyo...well let's just say she was nagging her mom the whole way there."Are we there yet?" Kikyo asked."No dear, not yet." Mrs. Higurashi said while trying not to scream at her daughter to shut up.Ten minutes later......"Are we there yet?" Kikyo asked once again."No sweetie not yet..." Twenty minutes later...."Are we there YET?!" Kikyo asked once again."No..." Mrs, Higurashi pursing her lips together. Thirty minutes later...." Are we there YET??!" Kikyo asked yet again."YES!!!!!!!!" Mrs. Higurashi screamed in happiness."Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kiyoshi shouted and jumped out of the car and ran up the thousands of steps and into the courtyard of their Grandfather's Shrine. Rin ran after him."Thank God I thought I was gonna go mad!" she shrieked. Kagome and Hiten climbed out of the car and squinted their eyes, their CD players still blaring and followed Kiyoshi and Rin up the stairs. Kikyo just glared and huffed and walked up the stairs.
Mrs. Higurashi stayed outside to look out for the moving van that had all of their boxes in it. When they did each sibling grabbed their own boxes and headed to find their rooms. Hiten and Kagome once again bunked together and Kikyo got her own room and Kiyoshi and Rin got their own rooms.
