A dark haired girl was lying on the ground of a dark, foul smelling room. Her clothing was ripped in various places. Cuts and deep gashes adored her body, her own blood pooled around her. Her skin was sickly pale and she groaned in pain. A young dark haired male with blood red eyes stood above her, he was tying the obi of his dark purple yukata."Miko, you will be much use to me so I will let you live a bit longer." the man smirked evilly. The young girl opened her eyes and with the little strength she had left she managed a glare a few hate filled words."Go to hell Naraku!" she spat. Naraku growled and bent down and picked her up by her collar and slapped her hard. Adding another injury to her already battered body."You will learn your place Kagome! You will also learn some respect for your captures wench!" Naraku hissed. He then threw her back onto the hard floor causing Kagome to cry out in pain.

Naraku left the room leaving Kagome alone. Kagome wrapped her arms around herself and began to sobbing. 'Inuyasha where are you?' Kagome thought pleadingly. Kagome then closed her eyes and she soon fell into a deep sleep filled with nightmares of what happened only hours before. Nightmares of being tortured ruthlessly, along with being raped by the merciless hanyou. A small crack of light soon flooded the dark room and a figure entered the room and kneeled down next to the battered fifteen year old. The figure caressed Kagome's cheek and looked down at her with sympathy .'Such a strong ningen...' a soft feminine voice came from the figure. Kagome opened her eyes to come face to face with the familiar red eyes of the woman before her."Kagura!" Kagome whispered in fright."Do not worry Kagome, I am not here to give you harm, just to help give you strength. I too am held captive by Naraku." Kagura whispered."What do you mean? You are his reincarnation, you do all that he wants you to do." Kagome said disbelieving."I only do it is because if I don't he will kill me, he holds my heart in his hands. I want Naraku dead so I can be free, like the wind. And I need your help to do that." Kagura whispered.

Kagome gave the youkai in front of her a curious glance."My help?" Kagome asked. Kagura nodded and got back on to her feet. She dusted off her kimono and then pulled out her fan and opened it."I have to leave you now, but I will come back tomorrow around this same time to tell you about some of Naraku's plans. Kagome, please don't let Naraku break your spirit down, like he's been trying to do. Don't lose hope, we will all be free you, Kanna, and myself.." Kagura whispered and walked out of the chamber and closed the door and sighed .'Let us hope that Naraku does not win the emotional battle against the young miko.' Kagura thought sadly.
Kagome sat up and scooted up against one of the walls of her cell and began to think of what Kagura told her .'What did she mean by that, Naraku holds her heart in his hands?' Kagome thought. She winced as the throbbing pain of a headache pounded ruefully and she clutched her head to feel the sticky liquid of her blood on her hand and a small gash that had just begun to clot.
The night soon faded and the soft rays of the sun peaked over the mountains."DAMNIT YOU LITTLE BASTARD GET YOUR SCRAWNY ASS OVER HERE!!!!!" came the loud growls of the silver haired inu hanyou."AHHHH SANGO, MIROKU, KIRARA SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the screams of the small red haired kitsune rang throughout the forest."Inuyasha will you please stop chasing Shippo, we have to find Kagome and not gallivanting after the poor little kitsune here!" the brown haired magenta eyed girl yelled."She's right Inuyasha do you really want to know what Kagome-sama would do if she found out that you wounded her kit." the dark haired violet eyed monk nodded in agreement. Inuyasha paled drastically and remembered the last time he hit Shippo."OWARSUI!!!!!!!!" rang the voice of Kagome in his mind and he winced and gulped.*A/N: Gomen nasi if the spelling for Owarsui is wrong*

Naraku walked down the hallway of his castle towards the dungeons. He soon reached the chamber that held Kagome and he opened the door and the sunlight flooded into the dark room. Kagome squinted her eyes at the bright light that she hasn't seen in days. Naraku then walked inside and slammed the door. His eyes narrowed."So have you learned how to act bitch?" Naraku asked angrily. Kagome glared at him and spit at him. Naraku growled and restrained himself from hitting his hostage."Lash out at me, beat me, do whatever you like, you can have my body, but you will never have my soul. So take your best shot!" Kagome taunted.
Naraku's eyes narrowed dangerously and he made a fist and kicked Kagome in her stomach. Kagome screamed in pain and her hands automatically went to cradled her stomach .'INUYASHA!!' Kagome screamed inside her head wishing Inuyasha was there to save her. Kagome looked back up at Naraku and stared heatedly at him and gave him a glare that she had poured all of her hate into. She began to imagine the death of the enemy in front of her .'When Inuyasha gets his hands on Naraku after what he's seen him do to me Naraku will be begging for mercy and he will receive none.' Kagome thought gleaming at the images that entered her mind.

Inuyasha and company decided to stop to camp for the night much to Inuyasha's disappointment. Sango, Miroku, and Shippo were already asleep, Inuyasha was still up thinking about how he failed the two most important people in his like. 'First, Kikyo dies by Naraku's hand, and now Kagome being kidnapped by Naraku, and possibly dead.' Inuyasha sighed sadly from his perch on a tree. It was then that he saw Kikyo's soul stealers. He jumped off the branch he was sitting on and followed the white snake-like dragons. 'Kikyo, what are you doing here? Do you know where Naraku is keeping Kagome captive?' those thoughts plus a million more raced through the hanyou's head.
Inuyasha finally reached the clearing where Kikyo was standing in. Inuyasha took in a few deep breaths."Kikyo..." Inuyasha whispered."Inuyasha, why have you come this time? Is it because you think I know where Naraku is keeping my reincarnation?" Kikyo asked in her haunting voice. Inuyasha nodded hesitantly, Kikyo laughed at his answer."I know nothing of it, please Inuyasha come with me to hell." Kikyo begged."I can't, not until I find Kagome and avenge your death!" Inuyasha exclaimed."Do you love my reincarnation Inuyasha?" Kikyo questioned."No! How can you think that? I love you, and only you!" Inuyasha cried and hugged his dead lover.

Kagome screamed in pain as Naraku tortured her once again during the two weeks since she was caught. And each time he was through and left Kagura came to visit and tell Kagome of her plans. As each hour passed her hopes grew thin, and each day her spirit's shield was breaking. "Inuyasha...where are you?" Kagome sobbed. Kagome was growing weaker by the minute. Kagura sighed, she was sent to lead Inuyasha and his friends here. 'I hate you Naraku..' Kagura thought bitterly. The final battle was almost near, the battle the will determine who lives and who dies, Naraku or Inuyasha.
Inuyasha growled when Kagura arrived, he pulled out Tetsaiga, but he did not attack."What do you want Kagura?!" Inuyasha growled."I am here to lead you to Naraku's Castle, that is if you want to claim the miko." Kagura answered."Lead the way Kagura." Sango spoke, and began to follow the wind sorceress. Miroku and Shippo and even Inuyasha followed behind the demon slayer hesitantly, still not trusting Naraku's incarnation.

The battle was bloody, Inuyasha was near unconsciousness, Miroku was killed, and Sango was dying from blood loss. Shippo had died from being attack by one of Naraku's incarnations. Kagome heard everything, each scream that each of her friends made as they died. The only one living still was Inuyasha. Then the doors of her cage opened to reveal Kagura."Hurry now's your chance!" Kagura whispered and helped Kagome out of the dark dungeon."Inuyasha needs your help! I'll do whatever I can without being killed." Kagura continued."Thank you for everything, Kagura." Kagome thanked and pushed away from Kagura and ran out into the courtyard of the castle.
What she seen made her want to puke. the bodies of her friends lay on the blood stained ground. Inuyasha was the last one standing and in the way he looked he couldn't last much longer. Tears stung her eyes and threatened to fall. She grabbed the nearest weapon and ran out and screamed and plunged the sword that she picked up and watched the miasma spill out from the wound. Naraku screeched in pain and turned around."Stupid wench! die!!!!" Naraku threw an attack at the injured girl and cackled with delight."KAGOME!!!!!!!!" Inuyasha screamed and jumped in the way. Kagome's eyes widened as she watched the man she loved fall."Inuyasha....INUYASHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kagome screamed and pure energy erupted from her body.

Sesshomaru walked into the courtyard of Naraku's castle to see the ningen miko, collapsed onto his hanyou brother. Naraku was no where in sight, Rin, the ningen child that accompanied Sesshomaru ran forward and saw the battle field. Her soft brown eyes landed on Kagome and they welded up with tears."OKA-SAN!!!!!!!!!!" Rin cried and ran over to Kagome. Ever since the six year old had met Kagome she thought of her as a mother, and Kagome allowed her to call her that as well. Sesshomaru walked up to the miko and felt for a pulse. When he felt none he knew she was dead, and with Rin with him he could not leave her. Sesshomaru pulled out Tensega, and swiped it over her body, reviving the dead woman-child. Sesshomaru picked up Kagome and called Rin to follow him. 'I will take care of you now my miko, my Kagome.
