Lost Hope

I am running through this darkness,
through this never ending night.
Sorrow is now my one true friend.
You ran away when I needed you the most,
you left me for dead.
How could you betray me?
This pain is unbearable,
I cannot rest this heart's heart wrenched tears.
You used to sweep away all of my fears.
Now I question myself, and everyone I know.
And it was all because of you.
Now I ask this one question of you.
Do you believe in God?
For I have lost all hope and I do not know.
So now I take this gun to my temple,
and just before I pull the trigger, I whisper yes.
