"Well I really like walking in the market in the morning." I sighed as we kept walking.
"Well Fiona will be happy to see you she thought you left because something was troubling you." He said putting his hands over the back of his head.
Fiona, Tomas, and Irvine were at a little park. Van trailed behind me as I ran towards them. Fiona was sitting on a swing where Tomas sitting on one of the swings next to her and I sat on the other one. Tomas was trying to get her to go out with him while Van sat next to Irvine on the teeter-totter. "Come on Fiona say that you’ll go out with me?" he said while it seemed that Fiona wasn’t paying attention to him.
A scream echoed into the park. I turned my head where I heard the sound. "Did you hear that guys?" I ran to see what it was. Fiona followed me and the guys stayed there.
There was a girl who was eight or so running from these gangsters I ran up to the girl and grabbed her before the gangsters could hit her again. "Hey what are you doing to this girl you freaks." I said with as I moved her to Fiona and signaled for her to take the girl and get the guys.
"Hey babe it’s our business not yours but it would be more fun with you than the girl." One of the gangsters said grabbing my hand, grinning.
I spat in his face. "Like I would ever go with you guys" I sneered and kicked him in the groin. "You’re just a stupid, brainless idiot who could never find himself a date"
The three men pulled me back so I couldn’t move, making it impossible for me to move as the leader pulled himself together.
"You stupid bitch now your going to see how it feels" He replied opening up his switchblade knife. I tired to get out of the men’s grasps to be able to get the knife out of the mans hand. He grinned and grazed my cheek deeply leaving a bloody line across m face. I winced in pain and look away to see Irvine, Van and Tomas coming along with Fiona and the girl. So I did what came naturally at the time I bit the mans hand as came to cut me again to where he dropped the knife and then I laughed saying, "Looks like you guys are out of time." The men turned to see Irvine tackling him in pure rage. Tomas and Van joined by knocking out two of the men that were pinning me to where I was while Fiona came out with her frying pan and bashed the last one on the head knocking him out.
Once Irvine decided that he beat the man enough he looked to me concerned. "Are you okay?" He said worriedly spotting the cut on my cheek he softly wiped the blood off of it. I smiled warmly to him. "Yeah I’m okay now thanks." I said hugging him tightly snuggling my face in the crook of his neck.
I released him from the hug and looked at the girl and asked, "Hey are you okay? Where’s your parents?" She looked at me and smiled. "They’re at the market" She said grabbing my hand and pulling me to the market. She ran to here parents hugging them tightly. I smiled and walked away remembering how great life truly could be.
For once I didn’t have the dream of the burned/destroyed village. Instead it was of my mother and me when I was little I was two years old to be exact. The past me ran to her as she picked me up holding me when we were laughing together as she spun me around. I watched my mother and I going back to my own house. As the past me ran to my father’s arms to greet him. I gave him a hug and ran back to my mother to get ready for my bath I sat on a chair watching my past go by me. I was in the tub splashing my mother as she playfully splashed me back and then my father and a boy I don’t know who, came in and started splashing my mother and me too.
