Moonbay's Story
Chapter Three: Snatching Destiny

I walked to my room and went straight into my bed. I never fell back a sleep that night. At about 7:00 in the morning I made breakfast and left a note that I was going out for a while. I walked around feeling chilly from the morning breeze. The roads were petty much completely deserted. I saw or should say bumped into Sakone and a crowd of girls following him. Luckily he didn’t see me. I really didn’t feel like talking to any one anyway. "MOONBAY!"I heard Fiona yell.

She was with Van and Zeke running to catch up with me. I turned around and waited for them. Sakone turned around to notice me. But luckily Fiona, Van and Zeke got to me first. "Hey didn’t you here Fiona calling for you?" Van said catching his breath.

"Sorry guys I had something on my mind." I said.

"What are you talking about my dear Moonbay?" Sakone asked.

I jumped in surprise to see that Sakone was right behind me. How could he be able to do that I thought?

"You scared me half to death! How in the world do you do that." I exclaimed.

"Well I am in martial arts my lady." He said as he greeted me by kissing my hand.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that." I said in embarrassment.

He greeted Fiona and Van like a normal person would. "So you must be Moonbay’s friends Fiona and Van I presume, and this must be Zeke the organoid. It’s nice to meet you again Fiona and a pleasure meeting you Van." He said. "Well I’ll be off now before the mob of girls find out that it isn’t me that they are crowding around." We waved goodbye to Sakone as he walked off while the mob of girls looked to see Sakone running from him. Van watched it in stupidity.

"Um… okay back to what I was going to ask you before. We were wondering if you seen Irvine lately because we can’t find him anywhere." Van asked.

"Hmm…the last time I saw him was in the main room around 2:00 in the morning." I said.

"Maybe he still mad then." Fiona said.

"What are you talking about Fiona what is he mad about?" I asked.

"Well he looked mad or jealous when Sakone came to see if you came home alright around 6:00 in the morning but you were asleep." Fiona said

"WHAT! Why didn’t you wake me up when Sakone came?" I screamed.

"Well Irvine answered the door and said you were here and slammed the door." Fiona explained as we were crossing the street.

I just stood there in the middle of the street stunned. Why would Irvine do something like that I pondered. "HEY MOONBAY WATCH OUT!!" Van yelled snapping me out of my train of thought to see the jeep.

I could tell that the jeep was not going to slow down since it was a couple yards away. I screamed and used my arms to shield myself, as the jeep was about to hit me. Some how out of no were Irvine pushed me out of the way. I looked to see Irvine holding me. "Thank you Irvine I love you for that." I said crying in his arms clutching him as close to me as humanly possible. He stiffened for a moment but soon wrapping his arm tightly around me.

How could I feel so protected like nothing could hurt me in his arms I thought? I still was holding onto Irvine when Van, Fiona and Zeke came. They looked at us surprised that we were together or at least holding each other so closely. Irvine held me like that when we walked back to the military base. For some reason wanted to be with him together forever it felt like we were meant to be with each other like if it was destiny.
